Oak Creek Park

Sustainable Recreation Design served as prime consultant for the Design/Engineering of grant-funded park and community center on 2-acre greenfield hillside property. Responsibilities included:

  • Design of Playground, Amphitheater, and Interpretive Areas

  • Grading & Drainage, Stormwater Management, and Erosion Control Plans

  • Hardscape, Planting, & Irrigation Plans

  • Construction Details & Specifications

  • Project Manager for the Production of Architectural Plans for a 2,250 sq. ft. Community Center

Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority

Sustainable Recreation Design works with MRCA to conduct site ADA evaluations for parking lots, paths of travel, restrooms, and other public spaces using BlueDAG software. Documentation of potential ADA violations are used to make accessibility recommendations for future renovations and improvements.

Golf Course Design

Sustainable Recreation Design works with Cal Olson Golf Architecture to create plans and renderings for the development and renovation of golf courses and facilities.

Machida Memorial Signage

Sustainable Recreation Design was commissioned by the California Tahoe Conservancy to design a sign to honor Dennis T. Machida and provide recommendations for layout of the rest area improvements, including graphic design, construction documents, and all details for sign production and installation.

Rancho el Nido de las Aguilas

El Nido was the phased conceptual design of a church retreat on the 5-acre property of a former theme park. Elements included native plant gardens and events spaces, a pool and playground, small cabins and a campground, sports fields, outdoor recreation activities, and public art.
